What It Does
Open-Write is a writing studio for long-form fiction: screenplays, novels, and television. Drafting and revision are routed through specialised roles so structure and voice hold together across a full-length work.
Stations and Templates
The pipeline is a set of named stations. Bible holds world, characters, outline, and voice; Architect plans scenes; Writer composes to format; Critics evaluate voice, palette, continuity, and naturalism; Cutter compresses without restructuring; Reader gives a cold-read assessment. A state server tracks what characters know and which plot elements are resolved across the project.
- Three templates: film screenplay, novel, and episodic television.
- Two form factors: open-source pipeline plus a standalone Windows 11 Studio app.
License
Open-Write is free and open-source under Apache 2.0. Optional community support is available.
